BrokerBooks collects information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and financial data you enter (expenses, receipts, income). We also collect receipt images you upload or capture using your device camera solely for the purpose of extracting expense data via OCR.
BrokerBooks requests access to your device camera exclusively to allow you to photograph receipts for automatic data extraction. Camera images are transmitted securely to our server for OCR processing and are not stored permanently or shared with third parties.
We use your information to provide and improve the BrokerBooks service, process your expense data, send transactional emails (welcome, password reset), and provide customer support.
Your data is stored securely on servers located in Canada. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g., payment processing via Stripe) or as required by law.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. BrokerBooks does not store your credit card information. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
